Job Summary:
The Associate Trader will assist our team of Traders with the daily activities associated with trading Equity, Fixed Income and other various securities.
Location: Hybrid to Pittsburgh, PA
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Handle the operational and administrative duties related to the post-execution processing and settlement of trades in equities, fixed income, mutual fund, and other various securities. This would include all duties associated with the accurate and timely processing and settlement of such orders, ensuring consistency with the firms strict demand for best-in-class execution services.
- Process post-executed fixed income trades
- Process equity step-ins and Prime Broker trades (trade-aways)
- Enter mutual fund orders
- Assist our team of Traders as needed
- Assist Advisors with trade related inquiries
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrates a rare, and powerful level of self-drive and independent achievement while working in an autonomous environment
- General understanding of financial markets and the settlement process
- Strong ability to work independently with close attention to detail
- Ability to work fastidiously in demanding, fast-paced environment
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to or experience with Claude AI is a plus
- Ability to quickly and proficiently adapt to new technology
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field
- 2 years of relevant experience working in a similar role
- Must possess SIE, Series 7, and 63 licenses or grandfathered equivalent. Series 52 is a plus.
- Experience with the settlement practices of equity and fixed income securities is preferred
