Job Summary:

The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel to work with the Chief Legal Officer in handling a wide variety of legal matters related to the Company and its affiliates. The candidate must be highly adaptable, motivated and efficient in a fast-paced working environment with excellent judgment and integrity. Must be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to take on tasks and projects as needs arise.

Duties / Responsiblities:

Assisting with transactional matters and ongoing acquisitions
Managing vendor and client contracts; responding to vendor due diligence inquiries
Drafting and revising corporate contracts
Drafting policies and procedures for SEC registered investment advisers and FINRA member broker dealer
Conducting legal research
Addressing various Company legal inquiries when CLO is out of the office
Coordinating with and assisting outside counsel
Providing support in responding to subpoenas and regulatory inquiries
Some travel required

Skills / Experience:

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member of New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Florida Bar (other states may be considered)
2-5 years legal experience, preferably in a mid- to large-sized law firm, inhouse counsel or state/federal securities regulators or SRO
Financial services, securities regulation (SEC/FINRA), mergers and acquisitions experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Monday.com and Sharepoint
Excellent writer, researcher and communicator
Strong attention to detail
Ability to problem solve and multi-task independently
Strong presentation, collaboration and negotiation skills
