Job Summary:
NewEdge Advisors is looking for a highly skilled service-minded Business Development Internal Regional Director with a positive attitude who enjoys problem solving and meeting the needs of our growing office. The Business Development Internal Regional Director will provide support to our top executives. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills and is self-motivated. The ability to provide strong administrative support and prioritize multiple job tasks is necessary to successfully perform the job functions.
Location: The ideal candidate will be based in New Orleans, LA, or near NEA, NEW, or NECG offices, but remote candidates will be considered.
Roles / Responsibilities:
The position of Business Development Internal Regional Director is a dynamic role with a diversified number of assigned daily tasks for our external recruiting team. This position will report to the Managing Director of Business Development. The primary responsibilities of this job include business development team, interacting with prospective advisors and regional business development directors, .
The Business Development Internal Regional Director (IRD) is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Support Managing Director of Business Development and NEA Business Development team with follow up tasks, conference calls, marketing material and required on-boarding documents
At least 25% of time outbound calls and emails to financial advisors to educate on the benefits of an RIA relationship and affiliation with NewEdge Advisors. Introduce local NEA regional director and schedule meeting.
Qualify inbound and web sourced advisor leads to determine if advisor is a good candidate for NEA.
Support NEA business development team by corresponding with prospective clients (email, direct mail, phone calls) as required
Maintain databases (Salesforce or Redtail) by performing basic functions such as entering information, maintaining reports, working with MD business development on dashboard and forecasting
Act as a liaison between the prospective advisor and various NEA departments to ensure timely follow-up
Partner with NEA business development team to create formal business presentations to qualified prospective clients
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and developments
Assist NEA business development team with home office visits which may include but is not limited welcome dinners, preparing presentations, helping with agenda, and advisor profile.
Schedule and host, if necessary, Subject Matter Expert (SME) calls with prospective advisors to introduce NEA services
Support business development team with daily outbound calls to advisors, outbound emails, and networking with COI’s
Attend business development team calls and meetings
Must have S-7 or be able to take S-7 exam within 90 days of employment
Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
Perform additional assigned task by the Managing Director and business development team
Skills / Qualifications:
3-5 years in an administrative support role, financial industry experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other business-related field or equivalent professional experience preferred
Series 7 and 66 licenses preferred or must obtain
Skill in operating various office and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Redtail CRM, Adobe Acrobat). Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are highly preferred.
Limited travel required
Ability to communicate tactfully with clients, advisors, and staff members
Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Salary: $65,000 – $75,000
