Description

The Data Analyst role supports the firm’s reporting infrastructure by performing data management functions related to account set-up, data input, general administration and reconciliation of the firm’s portfolio reporting software system (Orion).

This role is responsible for assistance in maintaining the data integrity of the firm’s portfolio reporting system to ensure accurate performance report production. The associate provides support for new implementations and identifies opportunities to improve reporting accuracy and best practices.

Working collaboratively with team members, the Data Analyst delivers timely, accurate, and insightful reporting solutions to support Home Office, Advisory Teams, and end-client needs.

Duties & Responsibiltiies:

Areas of Coverage

  • Support Custodian Data Feeds
  • Support Advisor Team Requests
  • Monitor Reporting System
  • Audit the Quality of Custodial Data
  • Assist the Trading Team with Intraday Requests

 

System Management & Maintenance

  • System User and Account Setup
  • Set Up and Maintain Daily Data Source
  • Alternative Investment Data Set Up and Input
  • Periodic Traditional Investment Research, Classification and Maintenance
  • Monthly Audit of Stale Feeds and Account Information

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of investment securities and terminology.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, active listening and interpersonal skills
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Technology oriented with the ability to quickly learn new software systems
  • Experience using one or more of these systems (Orion, Bloomberg, Morningstar) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required – major in Accounting, Finance, Business or Math is preferred
  • One to two years of financial services experience preferred
