Job Summary:

The Enterprise Sales Director for American Trust works alongside the AmericanTCS Institutional Sales Team and their financial intermediary key account partners to drive new sales of retirement plan services to financial advisors, third party administrators (TPAs), other financial intermediaries, and their plan sponsor clients.

The Enterprise Sales Director (ESD) for American Trust’s primary responsibility is to facilitate the growth of American Trust retirement plan services through various financial intermediary key accounts. This is accomplished through a consultative sales process with the intermediary to promote the American Trust product offering. The core product suite of the ESD centers around plan governance, administrative and fiduciary services including, but not limited to:

  • Pooled Plan Provider (PPP) Services
  • 3(16) & 402(a) Fiduciary Services
  • 3(38) Investment Fiduciary Services
  • Actuarial Services – Cash Balance & Defined Benefit Plans
  • Third Party Administration (TPA) Services

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain an in-depth knowledge of American Trust retirement plan services offered
  • Collaborate with the Institutional Sales Team on a key account sales strategy
  • Discuss industry trends with financial intermediaries and plan sponsors
  • Learn multiple platform/product solutions; assist partners and their clients with a “needs analysis” and recommending the appropriate solution
  • Establish and maintain productive, working relationships with financial intermediaries with the goal of earning or growing their business with American Trust
  • Remain current on industry, technical and product knowledge
  • Complete management reports, expense reports and other special tasks as requested
  • Effectively manage a pipeline of potential clients
  • Lead and participate in finals presentations to plan sponsors
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Skills & Abilities:

  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the retirement plan/TPA industry or a selling role in the retirement plan industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge in the retirement plan industry.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Proven successful sales experience and/or relationship management.
  • Over-night travel is required.
  • Superior time management skills required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

 

Salary $75,000 – $100,000 based on experience and will be eligible for incentive compensation based on commissions.
