Job Summary: 

NewEdge Advisors is looking for a highly skilled service and operations-minded Manager of Operations to redesign and manage custodial operations & onboarding and account administration. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, strong organizational skills and is self-motivated. The ability to streamline processes and procedures, breakdown complex information and processes into manageable tasks, and prioritize multiple job tasks is necessary to successfully perform the job functions. This position will report to the Managing Director of Operations.

Responsibilities:

Enhance current procedures and manage the operations and account administration teams at NewEdge Advisors.
Design, implement and document new operational procedures where needed.
Oversee the account administration team who reviews all investment advisory agreements, approval, and data entry of relevant billing, operations, and compliance fields into Orion in a timely and accurate manner.
Be the main point of contact for the account administration team regarding escalated incidents requiring agreement review and approval.
Oversee and manage the distribution of all monthly reports regarding missing agreements to the field of advisors. With the Advisor Technology Team, develop repeatable trainings for advisors using Orion to pull reports and run queries for pertinent information.
Assist where needed in agreement review and tracking.
Manage and oversee the operations team who support advisors on multiple custodial platforms including LPL Financial, Fidelity, Schwab and Raymond James.
Oversee the operational onboarding tasks required at custodians for new advisor teams, admins, associates, and home-office employees.
Support the Managing Director of Operations and OCTO on technology and automation initiatives including but not limited to, digital onboarding, streamlining client and IAA paperwork, designing and implementing Salesforce for both home office and advisor teams.
Work closely with the billing and compensation team to ensure accurate, reliable account data is in Orion for all account types. Manage the closed account process.
Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation plans.

 

What you bring: 

An excellent candidate is passionate about relationship and project management, is hands on and has deep knowledge of the RIA and Broker Dealer space.
The candidate must have experience in a multi-custody RIA, preferably with Fidelity, Raymond James, LPL and Schwab.
This individual must be a confident leader that is comfortable managing various stakeholders through complex problems
They must be a great communicator with the ability to connect across all levels of the organization, critical vendors, and advisor firms
Strong interpersonal skills and an innate ability to build immediate rapport with financial/wealth advisors, company leaders and colleagues
Developed understanding or the ability to quickly learn the operational details of advisory business (e.g., RIA) functions (IT, Finance, Operations, Compliance, etc.)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
Strong analytical skills and rigor around bringing discipline, rules, thoroughness, consistencies, and framework to processes and operations
Proactive self-starter and highly motivated, ability to work independently and drive change
The motivation and flexibility to work well in a high-growth environment where situations and environments can change quickly; willingness to tackle projects or initiatives independently

 

Experience & Requirements:

Securities industry experience within organizations providing investment advisory services is required.
4 to 10 years of experience as an operations associate, client relationship manager or client services associate.
Experience with Fidelity Clearing, Schwab, Raymond James and/or LPL Clearing is required.
Orion portfolio management system or similar program experience is preferred.
Skill in operating various office and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Redtail CRM, Project Management systems).
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
SIE, Series 7 or Series 65 licenses are preferred.
Management experience is required.
