Job Summary:

The M&A Associate position with EdgeCo Holdings is a newly established role that will have direct exposure to EdgeCo’s senior management. The M&A Associate will spend the majority of the time on corporate development initiatives with some additional work on FP&A projects as needed.

Location: Ideal candidates will be located in Pittsburgh, PA and work in a hybrid capacity. Fully remote candidates will also be considered.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Support, track, and help manage the growing M&A pipeline.
Lead the coordination and execution of due diligence of potential targets including working closely with senior team members, other internal points of contact and external representatives, such as target company personnel, advisors, legal counsel, etc. to ensure relevant deal information flow amongst the cross-functional M&A team.
Quantify and track historical transaction KPIs such as synergies and any contractual purchase price adjustments including working capital and contingent payments.
Build detailed M&A analyses to support the evaluation of opportunities, including standalone target valuation, synergy value, deal structuring alternatives, IRR, and proforma impacts to EdgeCo.
Lead in the development of presentations and investment materials for the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and Lending Group.
Present the senior management team and department heads with as required data-driven analysis.
Collaborate with the VP of Corporate Development and senior management in FP&A projects as needed.
Collaborate with the M&A Analyst providing guidance as it relates to executing transactions
Act as a resource to the M&A Analyst and provide guidance and support to their develop in the role.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Very strong analytical skills, strategic thinking and decision-making ability.
Strong finance background and acumen including analyzing and forecasting the three financial statements.
High level of skill in financial modeling, performing due diligence, and experience with the general M&A process.
Experience in performing company valuations.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail; ability to work in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner.
Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
High level of interpersonal skills & ability to collaborate across departments.
Commitment to data integrity and continuous improvement of data quality and QC processes.
Advanced skills in Excel including complex financial modeling.
Advanced skills in PowerPoint.
Experience in the financial services sector, including retirement services, asset & wealth management, and/or trust & custody solutions a plus.

 

Education and Experience:

Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance.
A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant work experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, FP&A, and/or corporate finance.
