Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled professional with experience in model trading, preferrable through the Orion Eclipse tool. This individual must have an exceptional attention to detail and be able to multi-task. The Trading Operations Specialist will report to the head of NewEdge Investment Strategy.

Location: The position would preferably be located in our offices in Stamford, CT, Pittsburgh, PA or for the right candidate and after training, remotely.

Duties & Responsibilities

Coordinate timely and accurate trading of all incoming trade requests for the firm’s managed models with the executions desk and ensure proper allocation and reporting.
Coordinate large scale block trading. Set up restrictions on new accounts and check for drifts.
Assist Portfolio Managers in model analysis, rebalancing, platform maintenance, composite accounting, marketing updates and updating trade policies and procedures.
Assist and train advisors on how to use trading platforms and technology.
Assist in the creation of model and platform marketing content, materials, and deliverables.
Evaluate ways to make trading simple, efficient, and scalable. This could include: industry trend analysis, technology analysis, and attending conferences and seminars.

Skills & Qualifications:

General industry knowledge surrounding the trading of equities, ETFs, Mutual funds, bonds and options including settlement and clearing.
Experience with Orion, Envestnet, Black Diamond and/or other rebalancing tools. Experience with trade implementation software.
Past financial services experience within organizations providing investment advisory and/or trade execution services.
Past experience on a trade desk preferred.
FINRA Series 7 and 66 preferred. Associates will be required to pass FINRA Series 7 and 66 within a reasonable timeframe of accepting position.
Advanced designations a plus, or education towards advanced industries designations welcomes: CIMA, CFP, CFA etc.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM applications.
Must have the ability to think dynamically and work during market hours.
