Job Summary:

The Software Architect with NewEdge Capital Group, an EdgeCo Holdings Company, will provide technical expertise throughout all steps of the software development lifecycle. The NewEdge Capital Group Development department develops software solutions for our Wealth Management advisors in providing a high level of service to their clients. We strive to continue to develop market differentiating software solutions that align with the goals and direction of NewEdge Capital Group.

As a technical leader in this group, the primary responsibilities of the NewEdge Software Architect are to ensure the success of projects by addressing issues before they occur, leading the team through difficult challenges, and ensuring high quality products by setting expectations and leading by example.

 

Responsibilities:

The technologies used in our Wealth Management products are .NET and Salesforce. This position will focus on .NET solutions and on all critical steps involved in new product development and major product enhancement efforts.

New Product Development & Major Enhancements

Feasibility assessments, architectural designs, technology evaluations
Proof of concepts and component development
Build and deployment management
Promote cross-team collaborations and technical guidance and support
Maintain and improve standards, practices, and procedures

 

Other Responsibilities

Documentation, team building
Host technical training sessions

 

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience as a Software Architect
3+ years of technical leadership experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field. Work experience as a Software Architect accepted in lieu of degree.
Ability to execute work under minimal supervision.
Previous work in a regulated industry such as FINRA or HIPAA preferred
Excellent modern full stack development competencies

Compensation will be comprised of a base salary and opportunity to qualify for a quarterly performance-based bonus program.
