Job Summary:

The Software Engineer with American Trust will collaborate with a talented development team that spans the world to develop scalable solutions that brings business needs to life. This position is a part of our External, client-facing, development team focusing on API and Salesforce interfaces supporting advisors in the 401(k) industry.

The ideal candidate for this position is a go-getter who is eager to learn new processes and takes the initiative to independently research and solve problems.



Code optimization for new and existing programs.
Design, build and maintain core data models and APIs.
Primarily use Node.js and .NET to debug production issues across services.
Opportunity to learn GraphQL, Docker, Shell Scripting, Salesforce and more, we are always looking for new solutions.
Maintain and refresh API documentation.
Collaborate with local and international team members in positive and productive manner to efficiently deliver solutions.


Required Skills/Abilities:

3+ years’ experience in software engineering
General engineering skills required. Node.js preferred, or desire to learn Node.js
Knowledge of SQL (MSSQL, Postgres or Oracle)
Experience building backend development products
Lifelong learner, striving for continuous growth and development
Excellent interpersonal skills, including being trustworthy, respectful, and honest


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times


Salary: $80,000 – $95,000
