Job Summary:
NewEdge Advisors (NEA) is looking for a highly skilled service-minded associate with a positive attitude who enjoys problem-solving and meeting the needs of our advisor base & home office staff. They will report directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Operations. The position of Sr. Account Data Administrator is a dynamic role with a diversified number of assigned daily tasks. The primary responsibilities of this job includes the oversight of data in Orion for NewEdge Advisors. This person will also do all quality control checks against custodial data and review data entered into the system or uploaded. This person will be responsible for monitoring custom field data and compliance fields in Orion. This person will work closely with multiple business departments including Billing, Operations, Compliance, Trading and FinSource to ensure data and reporting of business function is maintained. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with using the Orion technology platforms and applications, Fidelity, Raymond James, Schwab and Goldman Sachs.
The position will be in New Orleans, LA or Baton Rouge, LA. Remote applications will be considered.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Maintain new account data within Orion via the New Accounts Center.
Ensure 13F reporting indicator, compliance and suitability information is accurate.
Maintain quality control measures to ensure data entry within Orion is accurate.
Cross check custodial data versus Orion data.
Maintain procedures related data entry into Orion.
Maintain procedures regarding month end close out.
Maintain procedures regarding closed accounts.
Perform updates to existing accounts in Orion.
Assist with various audit and reporting projects when needed.
Assist with review and logging of 3rd party business in Orion.
Train and coach advisors and coworkers on best practices.
Skill & Qualifications:
3-5 years of securities industry experience within organizations providing investment advisory or financial technology services.
Experience with Orion, Fidelity, Raymond James, Schwab, Goldman Sachs and/or LPL Clearing preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or other business-related field or equivalent professional experience.
Skill in operating various database and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Orion, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to communicate professionally in writing or verbally with co-workers, advisors, and other business units as required.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks within established timeframes.
Ability to clearly and concisely explain complex information.
Ability to pay close attention to detail, meet or exceed deadlines and implement quality control processes to check for accuracy.
Ability to communicate and project a positive, professional attitude with co-workers, customers, and various business contacts in person and over the telephone.
Ability to continually stay updated with new information.
Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis.
