Job Summary:

This position specializes in the compliance of ERISA qualified retirement plans. Primary responsibilities are to assist with plan compliance and quality control.

Location: The ideal candidate will be located in our Cordova, TN or Lexington, KY office and will work in a hybrid model, 3 days per week in office. (Remote candidates may also be considered).

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform or quality review nondiscrimination testing and other compliance related tasks completed by plan compliance team members.
  • Participate in staff development of plan compliance team by providing ERISA technical guidance and quality review feedback.
  • Expert understanding of qualified plan retirement plan contributions (including New Comparability).
  • Perform QDRO reviews for accuracy and completeness and determine the award to alternate payee.
  • Review death distributions to determine beneficiary and payout period.
  • Update compliance materials, participant forms, letters and distribution packages for law changes/disclosures within recordkeeping software and web access by client.
  • Effectively execute resolution to escalated technical issues from clients and/or internal staff.
  • Identify and utilize internal and external resources for compliance resolution.
  • Provide plan design support for existing and on boarding clients.
  • Participate in compliance related projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain an expert level knowledge of qualified plan regulations.
  • Possess a strong understanding of department processes, procedures and standards

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • College degree or relevant work experience required
  • QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) designation preferred
  • 10+ years of Retirement or Pension experience preferred
  • Ability to operate the following:
    • PC, calculator, copy/scan/fax machine, telephone
  • Ability to work with the following software:
    • Relius Administration, FTWilliams, CRM, Access, Excel, Word, Adobe, Relius Documents
  • Ability to read and interpret plan documents.
  • Possess the following skills:
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Ability to meet regulatory deadlines as well as team and personal goals.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize workload.

    • Expert knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations

 

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000 base salary, based on experience, plus eligibility to participate in company’s bonus program.
