Job Summary

The senior management team at NEA is looking for a highly skilled CFA/CIMA/Portfolio Manager to help scale our investment services and platform. This position will support the Managing Director by taking a senior leadership role across the portfolio management group and supporting all aspects of investment strategy and execution. The Trader will report directly to the Head of of Investments & Trading division. The position would preferably be located in our offices in New Orleans, LA, Baton Rouge, LA or for the right candidate, remote with ability to travel.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide exceptional service to your clients – the advisors of NewEdge. Be an advocate and resource for both the advisors and staff of NewEdge at all times.
Assist Managing Director across all aspects of NEA investment platform, including strategy, recruiting, and implementation/execution.
Work with head of trading to coordinate high-volume, large-scale block trading across our firms’ multiple custodians.
Assist Portfolio Managers & Traders in model analysis, rebalancing, platform maintenance, website updates, and updating trade policies and procedures.
Bring well-versed, clear and transparent investments communication to advisors and retail investors.
Assist with construction of asset allocation, equity, bond, mf/etf and multi-asset portfolios.
Participate in NEA Investment Committee meetings
Support due diligence efforts across the organization
Provide regular, ongoing tax-harvesting services for retail investors
Build relationships with strategic partners: assest managers, institutions, custodians, portfolio managers, economists and other RIAs

 

Experience & Job Requirements

Client first and advisor first attitude and approach
3+ yr experience in asset management, wirehouse, independent and/or RIA industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Econonmics, Math, Finance or related field
CFA or CIMA required.
FINRA Series 66. PM would be required to pass FINRA Series 66 (and or 7) within a reasonable timeframe of accepting position
CFP or other industry designations are beneficial
High level depth and breadth understanding of financial markets and products
General industry knowledge involved with trading of equities, ETFs, Mutual funds, bonds, notes and options including settlement and clearing.
Experience with Orion, Envestnet, Black Diamond and/or other rebalancing tools. Experience with trade implementation software
RIA custodial experience: LPL, Fidelity, NFS, Schwab, RJCS
Past financial services experience within organizations providing investment advisory and/or portfolio management services.
Must have the ability to think dynamically and work during market hours
Superior customer service skills in support of the mission of NewEdge Advisors.
