Job Summary:

The Sr. Treasury Management Representative’s responsibilities include monitoring tax withholding, completing proper payments, and appropriate filings with each state. You will also be assisting the Treasury Management Manager as needed and respond to information requests by clients, state and federal government contacts, management, and auditors. The Sr. Treasury Management Representative facilitates the efficient operations of the Custody Asset Management and Control department and serves as the day-to-day contact for Third Party Administrators / Record-Keepers, Financial Advisors, and state and federal tax agencies.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

May direct the work of employees in lower job classifications.
May assist in training newly hired Treasury Management Representatives or other employees.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assists Treasury Management Manager with preparing, mailing, and filing required tax forms with federal and state government agencies.
Enter tax payments for federal and states based upon each entity’s specific deadlines.
Processing escheatment for unclaimed properties and ensuring all state requirements are followed.
Maintain accounting controls by following corporate policies and procedures.
Answer phone calls from clients, state tax agencies and participants as needed.
Monitor web site messages, client emails, and incoming mail.
Respond to and resolve all inquiries timely.
Learn and understand regulatory and compliance issues related to customer cashiering and tax reporting
Become well versed in the MATC Trust system (TNS), and various tax filing systems.
Interact with other internal departments.
Provides Treasury Management Manager with assistance when gathering necessary customer transactional information and other documents for audits.
Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Familiarize yourself with the other departments and roles
Verify the accuracy of cashiering input and output to insure correct coding.
Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
2-4 years of Accounting experience
Tax experience a plus
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced Excel or Macro skills a plus.
Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills a must.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently while preserving accuracy; attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and be an energetic self-starter.
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment.
