Duties/Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will understand the wealth management industry and be willing to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Outstanding customer service, effective communication, and organizational skills are essential. The role will focus on three key areas:

Business Product Ownership

  • Serve as the product owner for the business, maximizing value and working with developers and admins to support NEA’s internal products – including proprietary technology and products such as Salesforce – communicating business priorities, needs, and decisions, participating in standups, reviews and planning, and collaborating with teams to ensure the products meets quality standards.

Vendor Relationships

  • Manage NEA’s relationship with our partner IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) under the oversight of the Director of Technology Solutions, ensuring 1099 teams have a smooth onboarding process and a positive sustained experience.
  • Assist with the large scale transition of existing advisor teams moving to a partnership with our partner MSP.
  • Gather feedback from advisor teams to assist them with maximizing the vendor relationship.
  • Work with NEA Technology Solutions Director and leadership to update processes and workflows per user and vendor feedback.
  • Assist with building future vendor relationships as NEA continues to grow.

Advisor-facing IT

  • Track and manage Advisor requests via the Salesforce case management system.
  • Partner with the NEA Transitions team to support onboarding needs of new advisor teams, providing a quality experience, including taking lead with Microsoft Office setup, Compliance and InfoSec-related IT setup, and general IT consultation and support.
  • Have a solid understanding of NEA’s technology offering -including Financial Technology and General IT – as well as LPL’s technology offering to serve as a point of contact for questions and guidance.
  • Gather feedback on, document, and suggest improvements to processes and procedures to streamline internal and advisor-facing workflows

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of securities industry or fintech experience within organizations providing investment advisory services
  • Experience with Fidelity, Raymond James, Schwab, and/or LPL Clearing preferred
  • Experience with supporting applications and software per FINRA and SEC regulations preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business-related or technology-related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Skill in operating various databases and software programs (i.e., Microsoft Office, Orion, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in writing or verbally with co-workers, advisors, and other business units as required
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks within established timeframes
  • Ability to investigate, research, and resolve problems
  • Ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely
  • FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) SIE, Series 7 and/or 65/66 are a plus
