Job Summary:

The Wealth Strategist plays a central role within the NewEdge Wealth Strategy serving as a centralized resource for high-net-worth clients. This mid-level position is designed for a credentialed planning professional who can independently manage sophisticated client engagements spanning cash flow and liquidity planning, estate and wealth transfer planning, tax mitigation planning, business succession planning, and philanthropy.

Reporting directly to the Head of Wealth Strategy, the Wealth Strategist will own the preparation and delivery of comprehensive wealth strategy reviews, support Senior Wealth Strategists on complex client matters, and serve as a technical resource for appropriate. This role requires a practitioner who is as comfortable in a client-facing meeting as in the mechanics of eMoney or a complex estate planning scenario.

Responsiblities and Duties:

Cash Flow & Liquidity Planning 

  • Build and maintain comprehensive plans using eMoney Advisor, serving as the team’s primary power user for the platform.
  • Develop detailed cash flow models for UHNW clients.
  • Coordinate modeling with investment team.
  • Maintain and update plans on an ongoing basis as client circumstances change.

Estate Planning

  • Review and interpret estate planning documents including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Develop estate planning analyses illustrating wealth transfer strategies, including GRATs, SLATs, IDGTs, QPRTs, and family limited partnerships.
  • Coordinate with outside estate planning counsel to support plan implementation and document execution.
  • Summarize complex estate structures into client ready formats.

Business Succession Planning

  • Analyze and illustrate key-person planning, buy-sell agreements, deferred compensation structures, and exit planning strategies.
  • Coordinate with M&A advisors, CPAs, and legal counsel in support of liquidity events.

Philanthropic Planning

  • Develop philanthropic strategies including donor-advised funds, charitable remainder trusts, charitable lead trusts, and private foundations.
  • Quantify tax and wealth transfer benefits of charitable strategies within the broader plan.
  • Assist clients in articulating and implementing a cohesive charitable giving philosophy.

Client Engagement 

  • Participate in client-facing meetings and present planning analyses in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Collaborate with investment, and other specialists across the firm to deliver integrated advice.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple active engagements concurrently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (J.D., LL.M., M.T., or MBA) a strong plus.
  • CFP® designation required; two or more credentials preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in comprehensive wealth planning.
  • Background in a family office, RIA, private bank, or multi-family office environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting client-ready financial plans for UHNW clients.
  • Exposure to complex planning across estate, tax, insurance, and business owner contexts required.
  • Deep proficiency in eMoney Advisor required; ability to build complex multi-account plans, run detailed cash flow projections, and leverage advanced planning modules.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).

 

Salary: $150,000 – $190,000, based on experience
